Traditional
Cypriot stolisma

The Cypriot “Stolisma” is a traditional ritual that has been practised for many centuries at Greek Cypriot weddings to symbolise the blessing of the Bride and Groom (typically at their respective parent’s homes) by their family and friends.

During this ceremony, the Groom is dressed and shaved by the best man at the beginning of the ceremony. A red scarf (Zoni/ ζώνη) is passed around the Bride and Groom’s waist three times by family and friends to symbolize fertility. The “Kapnisma” follows where a Kapnistiri (censer/καπνιστήρι) is traditionally used as a smoke blessing to the bride and groom.

Τhis entire ceremony is accompanied by the traditional music and led by the musicians, typically with a Violin and Laouto which is a standard service provided by Enthimion Music.

Enthimion Music currently provide a lineup to include a standard 2-piece option (Violin, Guitar/Laouto, Vocals) extending to a deluxe 5-piece setup (Violin, Guitar, Piano, Vocals, Percussion’s) for added dynamics and depth.

String Quartet

A team of professional and accomplished musicians who have studied at the UK's leading Music Conservatoires can be hired to provide a String Quartet performance of Modern and Classical hits.

Often ever present at weddings, a String Quartet can provide the ideal accompaniment for your Ceremony and Drinks Reception. Special requests can be accommodated and the repertoire is suited to the event and guests to cater for all preferences, styles and tastes.

Bouzouki quartet

A unique, rare and mesmerising performance by a Bouzouki Quartet of the highest calibre can truly add a touch of class to any event, where the magical sound of the Bouzouki is captured and showcased. With a diverse and powerful repertoire, the Bouzouki Quartet can adapt from background music into a full scale floor show to provide the highest level of entertainment to any function and audience. 

The professional musicians that form the quartet are of professional standard having played all throughout Greece, Cyprus and the UK in various high profile concerts and events.
